About the magnetic property of an Asteroid

In recent days, I've gotten the chance to meet Dr. Michael E. ZOLENSKY at Ege University Asteroid Mining and Meteoritics Workshop. I've asked him about magnetic properties of asteroids and how do they measure those. He stated some interesting facts. I sent an e-mail to him in order to obtain proper information including datasheets and schematics.

Another cool thing that I did there was to hold a "metal" class ateroid. Right out of space!

I took the oppurtunity ( Big thanks to Assoc. Prof. Ozan UNSALAN for the time and chance.) measure its magnetic field with a magnetometer inside a cellphone (not really the best but the change was visible [I conducted the experiment in a relatively isolated space.].).

The first measurements were taken from apx. 25cm, seconds were taken from apx. 0.5cm away from the sensor to Asteroid.

Pretty simple Delta of the MF induced in the sensors

Here is a picture of me holding the asteroid.
